Player Stories

What a fantastic day I had at Elland Road last Saturday! I always imagined myself playing alongside my heroes on the pitch… but knew it was only a dream, well, through Football Aid, my dream became reality, just being in the changing room, seeing my name on the back of a Leeds shirt, was such a buzz, then running out onto the pitch, it was just unbelievable!!

Football Aid 2007

Our most recent games at Elland Road were played in 2007 and proved to be hugely enjoyable events for all involved. Thanks again to all our Leeds United fans for their excellent efforts on the pitch and a special thanks to former club heroes Ian Snodin and John McClelland who played in the games and shared their expert experience with the fans.

You can check out Match Reports below and official photographs in our Image Gallery.

History & Background

Leeds United were one of the 1st teams to host a Football Aid Event in 2001 and we hosted a series of hugely enjoyable events with the club up until 2007. In those years our fans were fortunate to play alongside and be managed by a number of club Legends, including John McClelland, Brendan Ormsby, Gavin Oliver, John Francis and Mick Ferguson.

After a break for a few years we're very excited to announce we'll be making a return to Elland Road on Monday 20th May 2019.

CHARITIES FUNDED

Football Aid could certainly be described as a game of two halves. On one side we’re fulfilling fans’ lifelong ambitions to grace the hallowed turf at the club they support. At the same time, we’ve raised significant funds for a host of charity and community projects on a regional, national and international scale. This perfect balance is changing lives, making dreams come true and benefiting the beautiful game.
