Scottish Champions Celtic FC hosted the 1st of our 2 annual games at the world famous Celtic Park stadium at 10am on Thursday 19th May and the Hoops players certainly served up an action packed encounter for those fans lucky enough to witness it, with the Away team winning 1-4 in the end.
Man City Game 2 2016
When a big event falls on Friday the 13th it would usually be seen as an unlucky omen….But that wasn’t the case for our Football Aid players as they got to Live the Dream in our 2nd Manchester City game of the season at the impressive Etihad Stadium! Our 2nd game of the day at Goodison Park was a real thriller with the Home team narrowly edging a fantastic game of football 4-2. A combination of clinical finishing and resolute defending sealed the win for the Home team, however the Away team had their fair share of chances and played their part in making it such a great game to watch for the fans.
Derby County 2015

Everton Game 1 2015
The sun was shining when our Everton players stepped out onto the hallowed turf to kick off a big day at Goodison Park, with 2 x Everton games and an England International all set to be played. The Toffees are famed for being a family club, so it was fitting we had exiled Liverpudlians travelling from as far away as Spain and the USA to complete a pilgrimage back home!
Leicester City 2015
After the club’s fantastic end to the season the Foxes fans were in great spirits for our 2015 game at the King Power and the atmosphere under the floodlights was that bit extra special as well. Our 2nd game of the day at Celtic Park was always unlikely to match the goal-fest from Game 1, and so it proved with the teams finishing tied at 1-1 after 90mins. However despite the lack of goals it was a fantastic end to end game with plenty of chances at both ends.
Celtic Game 1 2015
Our 2015 Celtic Game 1 was certainly one to remember, with an incredible 21 goals being scored during the 90mins. Unfortunately for the Home team they all came at their end… The Home team battled hard throughout and never gave up, however the Away team’s combination of high energy attacking football and rock solid defence never allowed the Hoops a chance.
Birmingham City 2015
As the Blues fans took to the pitch for the 2015 game at St Andrews there was an air of excitement in the air. The atmosphere was electric under the floodlights and the sizable crowd were looking forward to another great BCFC Football Aid game. They weren’t to be disappointed and enjoyed an end to end cracker of a game that somehow finished with just the 1 goal being scored!
Blackburn Rovers 2015
It was a warm and dry evening as the Rovers fans took to the Ewood Park pitch for our 2015 game, and there was an extra special surprise for them when they marched onto the pitch, with the Premier League Trophy on display to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the club’s title winning season. England International 2015
Monday 20th April was a historic day for Football Aid, as we were delighted to be able to present an England International at Wembley Stadium for the 1st time in association with EE! The match ended 5-3 to the England Home team and the day will live long in the memory for all those involved.
Liverpool Game 3 2014
The weather had been dull and damp all day and things hadn't changed by the time the 3rd Football Aid game at Anfield kicked off. However the poor weather did nothing to dampen the mood at the ground as the players were greatly looking forward to being able to play on such an historic ground as Anfield.
Liverpool Game 2 2014
The 2nd Football Aid 2014 fixture at Anfield was a very close match, dominated by both sets of defenders and their keepers. At full time it was the Away side that got the victory thanks to a brace from Francesco Carnovale and some super saves from keeper Lee Shilton who kept out the Home attackers throughout.
Liverpool Game 1 2014
The 1st of the three Football Aid 2014 fixtures at Anfield was a tasty affair, with 14 goals scored and plenty of entertainment for those watching!
England vs Italy 2014
The 1st ever Football Aid International between England and Italy was played at the Boleyn Ground and there was certainly a fantastic atmosphere for those watching! In the end it was the England players who were to take the honours 6-3 but the visitors certainly pushed them hard all the way.
Crystal Palace 2012
Football Aid 2012 at Selhurst Park proved to be a very tightly contested game in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The two teams struggled to break each other down with the two goalkeepers producing numerous acrobatic saves, but it took two moments of magic from the Away team's Benjamin Wilson and Nick Pitt to make the difference.

Totally brilliant day, made even better with a Scotland win and also scoring at the Club I support!
England International - Robert Thorpe
The Thorpe family would like to thank all at Football Aid, EE Wembley stadium, physios and the 4 legends for a superb day at Wembley. To play on the hallowed turf with my Brother and both Sons can`t be taken away, as we know not many footballers get the chance to play there!
England vs Italy - Salvatore Lepore
A big, huge, thank you for making this possible. Singing “Fratelli d’Italia” at Selhurst Park has been unbelievable.
I can’t remember so good a match since my first at Upton Park in 2012 or Genoa-Samp in 2014. We came as a group so I was expecting we might play well, but most of my friends were surprised that so many good players were on the other team too.
England vs Italy - Steve Lowe
This was my first time playing in a Football Aid event and I must say my expectations were exceeded. From the upfront communication through to the set up on the day it felt like a really well run operation. What struck me most was the effort you and the team went to make the day special for each person. I will definitely be re-applying.
Wolverhampton Wanderers - Matt Barker
Playing at Molineux, the club I love, my daughter mascot, scoring a goal in front of my children, into the stand where we sit every single home game....Dreams became a reality.
All this would not be possible without Football Aid, for that I thank you. 2020 I’ll be back... this time with my eldest son too!
West Bromwich Albion - Chris Bradley
Just wanted to say thank you for an amazing event at The Hawthorns on Friday (17th May), really was a top day and a great game for everybody concerned.

Swansea City - Tim Lemley
Thanks so much, it was amazing for me and my family! I plan on playing again next year as well. Your team and the Liberty Stadium team were incredible.
Professional and sharp kits, team sheets, schedules...I could go on and on, but walking away with Swansea mud on my boots and paint on my gloves made for an unforgettable experience!
Swansea City - Damien Cain
I attended my first ever football game in January 2005, Swansea vs Reading at the Vetch Field. The atmosphere was electric especially when Lee Trundle got near the ball. Roll forward 14 years, I am playing at the home ground of Swansea City (Liberty Stadium) against Lee Trundle! I had an amazing day and thank Football Aid for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
Sunderland vs Newcastle Utd - Gary Nixon

Queens Park Rangers - Wayne Power
Fantastic day at QPR every legend was so down to earth and willing to chat or give advice. The club itself is very family oriented as it looked after the family and kids so well.
Overall it was an amazing day the Football Aid staff were top notch as always. Pleasure to play and help Football Aid with its charities.

Leeds United - Neal Dawson
Just wanted to say a huge thanks to the Football Aid team for putting on an amazing day at Leeds (United) on Monday 20th May.
From start to finish it was a great day, really well organised, and the sun even came out, who would have thought that a 10:00 ko in Leeds would have had a risk of dehydration attached to it!!!
Leeds United - Gary Jones
Leeds was great, they really looked after us all. Pitch was in fantastic condition and good to see a few of the regulars again, really entertaining game as well.
They gave us a really nice suite for the presentations and the buffet afterwards was very very nice.
Everton vs Liverpool - Sammy Kingston
Just want to say thank you for an absolutely wonderful day!! I think that was my dad’s 8th/9th Football Aid match and it certainly was up there as one of the best for him!!
Only my 2nd but it was such a superb day! Great to see blue and red at Goodison Park and play in the first ever derby!
Derby County - Tim Bates
I just wanted to say thanks again for an amazing experience put on by your team. It has been a fantastic experience. Perfect organization and excellent staff who do great work.
Find your kit in the dressing room, walk on to the field with "Glad All Over" playing and score in front of the Holmesdale Stand, it was unbelievable.
Chelsea - Stuart Lewis
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all at Football Aid for what was genuinely (engagement, marriage and birth of children aside) the best experience of my life on Friday night.
Playing 90mins under the flood lights with Pat (Nevin) and Lee (McCulloch), scoring a pen and getting MotM trophy with my son Jet there as a mascot was truly epic!
Stuart Lewis - Chelsea 2019
Celtic - Gordon Buckley
Please take my greatest praise for the day I had on Thursday (9th May) ay Celtic park.

An amazing night at Ewood with Football Aid. An absolute pleasure to play alongside super Kevin Gallacher, David Dunn and all the lads.
Thank you to all involved!
Birmingham City - Colin Revell
Many of us dream what it would be like to play for our club. You have a well organised system that creates that very situation and it was great to see all the minor details had been included. It’s also great to see former players (like Lee Carsley) give up their time and come along and join in, adding to the whole occasion.
Aston Villa - Billy Cliffe
May I thank you and all your team for a fantastic day yesterday, it was a dream come true to be able to play at Villa Park. Just in recovery mode now after picking up a few injuries lol, but they are certainly worth it!

Leeds United - Nick Moss
What a fantastic day I had at Elland Road last Saturday! I always imagined myself playing alongside my heroes on the pitch… but knew it was only a dream, well, through Football Aid, my dream became reality, just being in the changing room, seeing my name on the back of a Leeds shirt, was such a buzz, then running out onto the pitch, it was just unbelievable!!
Sporting Clube de Portugal - Nuno Costa
The whole experience is unbelievable. Being a Sporting CP fan since I can remember it was a dream come true to play at the Estadio de Alvalade, the same stadium that saw Ronaldo, Nani and other international stars to emerge. The name "Living the Dream" sums it up perfectly.
Chicago Fire - Sean Guidera
It was utterly fantastic, something I hadn't thought possible. I watched The Fire play LA Galaxy recently and it was cool seeing Toyota Park in a new light having been lucky enough to play there. My favourite things to do annually, are 1) Go to the U.S. 2) Play in a Football Aid match. For those 2 things to mesh was something special...
Chicago Fire - Tim Van Horn
Big thanks to Chicago Fire and Chicago Fire Foundation for having the vision & making the leap of faith to bring Football Aid to the U.S. for the first time ever. Wonderful facilities and even greater people!
Tim Van Horn
Sporting Clube de Portugal - Felipe Guedes
It was a day that certainly I will not soon forget. Playing in the stadium where all my childhood idols played, with that jersey and symbol to the chest was wonderful. Even more, for the cause itself and for being able to help the Fundaçlão Sporting that does such good work. Certainly next year I will be back. Thanks for the opportunity.
Wales International - Andrew Davies
I've always wondered what it would be like to put on the Red of our Country and stand on the field with the national anthem playing. It was the most amazing sporting experience ever. Everything from the pre-match tour, arriving in the dressing rooms to see the kits with our names on them, the national anthem and the awesome match itself was just out of this world.
England vs Rep Ireland - Roy Talbot
Thank you for providing me the opportunity to play my FINAL game (at 75) at the Stadium of Light yesterday! It was a pleasure and privilege to be part of such a memorable game and at the final whistle being congratulated by every player, and then on my return to our dressing room receiving a spontaneous ovation will be a lasting memory.

Thank you for giving the likes of me the opportunity to 'Live the Dream'.

Great day made even more special with 2 of my sons playing at the same time. Our manager Joe Miller was a credit, and he even came up to my lad at the end of the game and told him he was a good player, which has filled him with great pride and confidence. Great bunch of guys, played in the best of spirit and camaraderie, just like the Celtic family.

West Bromwich Albion - Andy Balmforth
Another great Football Aid day, pitch was in immaculate condition and a happy home team ran out 7-1 winners, though it was a close game for the first 60 mins. Top day with some quality lads, thanks to the lads from Italy who came over and were excellent to play alongside once again. Even got an Italian style celebration at the end!
Swansea City - Robert Green

As a football fan and as a player who never really made it at any senior level, the opportunity that you have made available is simply a dream come true with the added bonus of supporting charity. From actually walking into the dressing room and seeing the kit laid out, provision of drinks, access to the players area and to the Legends; simply brilliant!

Even my children want me to play every year so they can attend too, Wolves is my club, my 2nd home really, so playing at Molineux fulfils every fan's dreams.

Now I have the bug I’ll most certainly be doing this again next year.

Just like to say a massive thank you to all at Football Aid, you really do pull all the stops out to make it such a special day from the moment you arrive till leaving, just played at my beloved Newcastle United's St James park and after watching from the terraces for over 40yrs to getting the chance of playing on the pitch was a dream come true.
Manchester United - David Phelan
Thanks for another great day - really well organised as always. Danny Webber was a great addition, a very nice guy and a really good player too. Having Denis Law there brings things to another level too - at one stage I was waiting for a throw-in to be taken when I noticed he was on the sideline watching and it's another of the "pinch yourself" moments from the day!
Manchester City - Byron Carey

Unreal day playing at the Emirates this morning courtesy of Football Aid. My team won 5-2 and I had the pleasure of being managed by David O’Leary. Great catching up with Pat Rice again too!
