The Boards of Field of Dreams and Football Aid Trading Ltd have been selected from the sporting, charity and business worlds to provide the wide range of knowledge and experience required for managing a project of this scale.
Craig Paterson (Founder and Chairman of Field of Dreams) - Craig previously held the post of Chairman and Chief Executive of Melville Craig Group, Scotland's leading Human Resources and Recruitment Group. Field of Dreams is the registered grant making charity which distributes all funds generated by its partner trading company Football Aid through it's annual events programs. Craig was the founder of Football Aid and chaired the board from 2001 until 2014 and currently chairs a global network on behalf of Celtic FC.
Daniel Geey (Chairman of Football Aid Trading Ltd and Trustee Field of Dreams) - Daniel is a Partner in the Sport Group at leading media law firm Sheridans. Daniel’s practice focuses principally on helping clients in the sports sector, including rights holders, leagues, governing bodies, associations, clubs, agencies, athletes, sports technology companies, broadcasters and financial institutions. He advises clients on regulatory matters, dispute resolution, as well as competition law, commercial and broadcasting issues in a range of sports including football, tennis, rugby, cricket, boxing, basketball, athletics and gymnastics. In Chambers and Partners, Daniel has been described by clients as “a remarkable source of knowledge and guidance” and has “a wealth of knowledge and contacts within the professional football industry". Daniel is also recommended in the most recent global Who’s Who Sports Lawyer rankings. Daniel is an accomplished speaker and writer, and has lectured at a number of European universities on a variety of contemporary sports law issues. Jonathan Paterson (Football Aid Trading Ltd and Trustee Field of Dreams) - Jonathan is the son of Football Aid Trading Ltd and Field of Dreams founder Craig Paterson and he joined the board in July 2010. Based in Los Angeles, Jonathan is the founder of JP International Productions and is the Head of TV Development at Confluential Films. He has worked with the Football Aid events team over several event seasons and has built a strong rapport with many of the charity's patrons and supporters over the years. He looks forward to supporting the charity by any means possible as it enters the next exciting stage in its development.
Gordon Scott (Football Aid Trading Ltd) - Gordon has been a loyal supporter to Football Aid for many years having participated in a significant number of our Live The Dream games across the UK as well as one of our international events with FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou in 2003 in which Pep Guardiola starred. Gordon founded the highly successful Construction Services Company, Laidlaw Scott Ltd, in 1992 which he then sold in 2006. Gordon became a Director of St Mirren Football Club in 2003. The time of selling his construction company coincided with the clubs decision to build a new stadium. Gordon oversaw the design and construction of the new stadium on behalf of the club. He resigned from the board in 2010 but remained a shareholder. In 2016 he became Chairman and the majority shareholder of St Mirren Football Club with a long term plan to enable fan ownership in conjunction with the St Mirren Independent Supporters Association. This was achieved in July of 2021 with the club re-established in the Scottish Premiership and having had its most successful season in over 40 years. Gordon stepped down as chairman but remains on the club board. He retains interests within the property industry, through his company Langlands Scott International Developments S.L with interests in Las Vegas and Spain. With key business experience along with his passion for charity - coupled with his passion for football - Gordon continues to be a great asset to the Board here at Football Aid.
Hal Cohen (Football Aid Trading Ltd) - Hal is currently Cloud Program Manager for Google Cloud. Previously Hal was Product Lead in Google for Work's Incubation team, focussed on defining and delivering IoT vertical solutions for partners and customers. He blends his technical expertise and business experience to ensure all solutions deliver concrete insights and value for stakeholders. Prior to this, he performed a number of roles at Google ranging from technical account management to product management. Hal studied Electronic Commerce Computing at University of Liverpool and previously spent a number of years at Deloitte working in IT Security consultancy. With a real passion for football and charity, coupled with his expertise in technology, Hal is a fantastic addition to the Board here at Football Aid.
Stephen Hutchison (Football Aid Trading Ltd) - Stephen is Managing Director of Fuse, Omnicom Media Group's specialist sports and entertainment division, and has worked on some of the biggest brands and partnerships. His experience blends marketing strategy with all aspects of the sponsorship planning, acquisition and activation cycle. Stephen provides strategic guidance to major global brands such as; Nissan, PepsiCo, McDonald’s, Santander, Enterprise and Barclays across the world’s leading platforms including; UEFA, Olympics, Premier League and the FA. Stephen participated in a Football Aid event at Celtic Park in 2010 and has a real passion and enthusiasm for Football Aid, his skills and expertise bring valuable insight to the Board..
