Football Aid 2020
Due to the important health measures currently being taken to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK, and the subsequent impact it has had on the scheduling of the football season across Europe, we were keen to keep our lines of communication open with you in relation to the situation here at Football Aid and our unique Live The Dream events.
We are in regular contact with all of our partner clubs, due to the ongoing situation within the football industry, and the uncertainty surrounding the completion of the 2019/20 Season. We are preparing for the eventuality that our events scheduled for April and May will be rescheduled to a later date, with the distinct possibility that some of the rescheduled dates may now be in 2021. We will of course keep all of our players informed by e-mail in the coming weeks as and when we receive more information from our clubs.
If you have any questions we’re more than happy to advise further, please e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you for providing me the opportunity to play my FINAL game (at 75) at the Stadium of Light yesterday! It was a pleasure and privilege to be part of such a memorable game and at the final whistle being congratulated by every player, and then on my return to our dressing room receiving a spontaneous ovation will be a lasting memory.Read more
Football Aid 2018
The 2018 England vs Rep Ireland game at The Stadium of Light was a hugely enjoyable event for all involved and we'd like to say a massive thanks again to all our players for their excellent efforts on the pitch and Legends Andy Campbell, Thomas Butler and Micky Horswill for their fantastic support on the day.

History & Background
We were very excited to host our 1st ever England vs Rep of Ireland International at the Sunderland's Stadium of Light on 15th May 2017. Local Legends Micky Horswill, Gary Bennett and Thomas Butler were all on hand to lend their fantastic support and on the day the impressive England team came out on top 15-4.
The fixture returned in 2018 with Andy Campbell playing for England and Thomas Butler leading out his Irish troops again and this time the Boys in Green ran the England team a lot closer. However the Home team just edged a hugely entertaining encounter 8-7, giving their 75 year old Goalkeeper Roy Talbot the proud honour of raising the Captain's Trophy in celebration!
Football Aid could certainly be described as a game of two halves. On one side we’re fulfilling fans’ lifelong ambitions to grace the hallowed turf at the club they support. At the same time, we’ve raised significant funds for a host of charity and community projects on a regional, national and international scale. This perfect balance is changing lives, making dreams come true and benefiting the beautiful game.
