Sheffield Wednesday haven't been able to host games at Hillsborough in recent seasons, however we're very keen to work with the club again and remain hopeful they might be able to host our events again soon.

If you'd like to receive updates about any upcoming games at Hillsborough then make sure and REGISTER on the website or e-mail us at info@footballaid.com with details of the games you're interested in.

Steel City Derby Games

We were very excited to be able to host our 1st ever Steel City Derby matches at Bramall Lane in May 2019 and we're keen to host similar Derby matches in Football Aid 2020. If you're interested in taking part in these games please visit our Sheff Utd vs Sheff Wed Team Page to see the full details.

Football Aid 2015

Our 2015 game at Hillsborough was a hugely enjoyable event for all involved and we'd like to say a massive thanks again to all our Owls fans for their fantastic support on the day.

You can check out Match Reports below and take a look at official photographs in our Image Gallery.

History & Background

The Owls joined the Football Aid family in 2001 and hosted a number of highly successful matches at Hillsborough up until 2015. A real treat was in store for our 2007 players, with the 1st team Management Team of Brian Laws and Russ Wilcox on hand to put them through their paces, the duo pulled on their boots and played in the game as well, with assistant Wilcox's Away team narrowly edging a close game 2-1.

The impressive list of Owls Legends that have played in our games also includes David Hirst, John Sheridan, Phil King, John Pearson, Lawrie Madden, Chris Turner, Mel Sterland, Greg Fee, Dave Reeves, Terry Curran and Mark Smith and in 2013 we were privileged to announce former club Captain Lee Bullen as our Club Ambassador.

CHARITIES FUNDED

Football Aid could certainly be described as a game of two halves. On one side we’re fulfilling fans’ lifelong ambitions to grace the hallowed turf at the club they support. At the same time, we’ve raised significant funds for a host of charity and community projects on a regional, national and international scale. This perfect balance is changing lives, making dreams come true and benefiting the beautiful game.
