Football Aid has had the support of a host of footballing luminaries over the years, starting with the late Sir Bobby Robson, who signed up as our Patron in 2001 and continuing with former European Player of the Year Denis Law who took on the role of Patron in 2010.
In addition, some of the biggest names in football, including Sir Alex Ferguson, Walter Smith, Gary Mabbutt, Rio Ferdinand, Ledley King, Gordon Strachan and Pat Nevin have taken time out to help promote Football Aid, while famous footballing legends like Ricky Villa, John Barnes, Ally McCoist, Peter Beardsley and Bryan Robson have all played in our games.
We now have a network of Club Ambassadors, which is made up of former players who have agreed to become representatives of Football Aid. Each of our Ambassadors has been appointed because they have already demonstrated a commitment to Football Aid's work. They dedicate time and energy to us in a variety of ways: taking part in the events, organising fellow former players to play in the games, speaking to the media about Football Aid, or lobbying and raising money on our behalf.
The full list of Ambassadors is displayed on the Right Hand Side of this screen, just click on their name for a short biography of their career and details of how they've been able to support Football Aid.
