Read Dr Vincenzo Felici's book about his Football Aid Experience

It was a real honour for Football Aid to receive a special package in the post recently from a fantastic, long-time supporter of ours from Ancona, Italy. Dr Vincenzo Felici played in our Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge in 2007 and has been working on a book about his experience ever since and we were privileged to be the first people to receive a copy.

The book is in Italian (an English language version was made available in 2014 and is also pictured below) and is called "Traditore per un Giorno" ("Traitor for a Day"), and explains what it meant for a committed Juventus fan to play for his 2nd team. The book is on sale now and Vincenzo has very kindly agreed to donate part of the proceeds to the charities that Football Aid support. Below is a description of the book by Vincenzo and for those of you interested in ordering a copy you can do so by contacting Vincenzo directly.

"Traditore per un Giorno"

"The dream, a passion fruit cultivated from an early age can be made from a fortuitous incident but tenaciously pursued. Felici said the first episodes linked to the love for football in general, through Italian and British football, that led him to learn about the charity association Football Aid, which allows enthusiasts to enjoy the experience from professional footballers, playing a game with their favourite football team, at any stadium of UK. In "Traitor for a Day" the author recounts the gradual realization of this dream by demonstrating that football is also made up of stories of great humanity and not just passion."

In 2014 Vincenzo also released his new book about Chelsea FC titled "BLU REALE" (pictured below), again Vincenzo has kindly agreed to donate part of the proceeds to benefit the charities that Football Aid supports. Details of his new book are below:

"The history of Chelsea FC, in Italian, through the events and characters affecting the Club of London. A proper recognition to a team that after a series of corporate and economic difficulties has achieved in the last three decades amazing sporting results, including winning the UEFA Champions League. It also includes the symbols, colors, costume, music, cinematography, curiosity and interviews that enrich a framework football already stimulating. And finally, the inevitable reference to the strong double wire that binds the "Blues" to Italy, through the Italian players own past for "Stamford Bridge" leaving an indelible mark, together to avid supporters. No doubt the first Italian publication describing in detail the Club run by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich."
