    For any Sunderland fan playing at the Football Aid match, the line up didn’t get better than this. The Home team’s manager was none other than Charley Hurley and his captain was Kevin Ball. The Away team was managed by Richie Pitt and his captain was fans’ favourite Niall Quinn.

    Thirty excited Blackburn fans arrived at Ewood Park for the most important match of the season – the Football Aid game!

    At White Hart Lane on Monday 12 May, the 29 highest Spurs bidders lived out a lifetime ambition in an entertaining match that also saw guest captains Martin Chivers and Phil Beal taking part.

    Game 1, Kick Off 10 am

    It was a day of mixed weather as the players arrived at Elland Road early in the morning to take part in the Football Aid Game. Although very nervous, they were all excited to be playing on the pitch that had been graced by so many of their heroes.

    It was a sunny day at Anfield as the two teams lined up for photographs. The home side were managed by Ian Callaghan and captained by Alan Kennedy and David Fairclough while the away were managed by Brian Hall and captained by Phil Neal and David Johnson.

    Glorious sunshine greeted the Saints fans as they arrived at St Mary’s for the Football Aid event. Jimmy Case and Mark Dennis were there to greet the players and give them a great team-talk before the game. Their presence was an extra delight to the players, judging by the number of photos that were taken and autographs that they were both signing.

    Highbury was bursting with eager fans and their supporters as two games were played on the hallowed turf!

    It was a nice evening at Selhurst Park, as 28 excited fans arrived clutching their kit bags. Despite the excitement, their was some nervousness, as they were all about to take the field and play in the Football Aid game on their “hallowed” Palace turf!

    Thirty Bolton Wanderers fans arrived at the Reebok Stadium at 9am clutching their kit bags, all very nervous, but excited to be playing on their team’s hallowed turf.
