The Football Aid 2016 season kicked off on Wednesday 30th March with our Wales vs England International at the Principality Stadium. It was a sunny spring morning in Cardiff and the players made the most of the perfect conditions serving up a thrilling game which ended in a 5-5 draw, with both teams producing some brilliant goals for the fans to enjoy.
Our 3rd game of the day at Goodison Park was the 1st ever England International we’d hosted at the famous old stadium and the passion and pride of the players was on show right from the start. They belted out the National Anthem with pride at the beginning and maintained that level of commitment throughout the 90mins, and it was only in the final 15mins that the result was decided.
Due to essential work on the club’s iPro’s pitch, our Derby County 2015 match was played at the club’s state of the art Training Ground. Despite the change of venue the Rams fans involved still enjoyed the game immensely and provided great entertainment for the watching supporters.
The sun was shining when our Everton players stepped out onto the hallowed turf to kick off a big day at Goodison Park, with 2 x Everton games and an England International all set to be played.
After the club’s fantastic end to the season the Foxes fans were in great spirits for our 2015 game at the King Power and the atmosphere under the floodlights was that bit extra special as well.
Our 2015 game at the Macron Stadium provided the watching fans with plenty of entertainment, with 9 goals, chances galore at both ends, some fantastic saves from both keepers and some excellent goal celebrations as well!
The 2015 game at the Emirates was another enthralling encounter to add to the club’s long history of entertaining games with Football Aid and the watching fans certainly got their money’s worth with 8 excellent goals and plenty more action besides.
Our 2015 game at Old Trafford proved to be another memorable encounter in the club’s long Football Aid history, with the Man Utd players serving up a feast of entertainment for the watching fans in the stands.
The playing conditions were perfect when our 2015 players took to the hallowed Villa Park turf, and the watching fans were in for a treat as the Villa players served up a fantastic encounter.
