Match Report Queens Park Rangers 2007 Game 1
Football Aid Championships, Thursday May 10th, Loftus Road
QPR Home 3 - QPR Away 7

A spectacular 4 goals from a fiery Stewart Blair saw QPR Away blaze past ***** Home’s side in the Super Hoops leg of the Football Aid Championships.

Within the first 20 minutes of this exciting match the score was 1 – 1 both teams being fuelled by adrenaline rush of how the game has begun.

The Away side took the lead with a stunning 1 – 2 between Pottle and Banger that showed off teamwork and skill and paid off to give them a 2 -1 advantage when Banger tucked the ball away low under the keeper.

Paradiso’s keeper Kent couldn’t quite stop Pottle heading in his second goal in the 30th minute. This was followed by two free kicks one at either end of the pitch but both Kent and Palmer saved them effortlessly.

Centre Midfielder Blair pulled out all the stops his side by bagging goal number four with a great finish into the bottom corner of the net.

The Home team struck lucky when a goalkeeping error let Bibi slot home a coolly finished ball for their second goal of the day. The Away team almost came back instantly when Brown shot the ball straight over the keepers head where it crashed off the crossbar and away to safety.

Evan’s team ran rings around Paradiso’s side from the beginning of the second half another goal being slotted home to give them a 3 goal advantage.

Salisbury Jones made a fantastic clearance off of the line to block a goal stopping the Home team falling further behind.

Pottle, Blair and Banger formed a great counter attack that saw Pottle take a shot that crashed off the post and away to safety again, the Away team completely running the game now.

The on-form Away side continued to reign over the Home. This time a fantastic through ball courtesy of Brown led Banger to beat the offside trap, rounding the keeper and scoring his second goal of the day.

A corner at the opposite end of the pitch swung in perfectly for Thorpe to power home a header from 6 yards making the score a defiant 6 – 3 Away.

Seconds left on the clock and midfielder Blair sprung through defence beating the offside trap and rounding the goalie to bring home one more for the Away team bringing the final score to a breathtaking 7 – 3.
