Quotes from the day:

“It was an absolutely fantastic day.I would be grateful if you would pass on my thanks to your team and to all at Liverpool who made it such a great experience. Players and supporters were looked extremely well all day and I highly recommend the experience to any able bodied football fan. Once again, an absolutely fantastic day. I have been on cloud nine ever since. With thanks – Paul”

”I had probably the best game I've ever had and would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a boyhood dream come true. I would also like to play again next year if possible. I would also like to thank Phil Neal who helped me out a lot on the pitch, giving out advise and encouragement throughout. David Fairclough and Alan Kennedy were exellent aswell. And last of all I'd like to thank the players who helped make it an enjoyable and exiting day all round, and ofcourse the fans who came to watch. Thanks again, YNWA Paul Godfrey (aka Shodds - number 5)”

“Just want to say thank you for an unbelievable day. Football Aid is something special in that it brings hope and joy to all involved, from the players, their friends and family, to those in whose aid the events are organised. It's brilliant and doesn't need even the slightest of change. For my part, I achieved what I set out to do; I stopped a shot from Alan Kennedy! Thanks again. David Wiseman.”
