“Thanks for a brilliant time I thoroughly enjoyed it. My second time and I am doing it for my 40th next year too!! As always Football aid organise it so well. Tottenham was brilliant, the officials were top and your guys were great fun and so helpful. Thank you to the professionals too. I never thought being on the end of a 6-1 drubbing could still feel so good.”

Quotes from the day:

“A fantastic day I will never forget, brilliantly organised by your enthusiastic, charming staff. Can't wait to do it again. I defy anyone to say that the hair on the back of their neck does'nt stand on end when they walk into the home dressing room and see a shirt with their name hanging up! goose bumps just thinking about it. Thanks again Paul Henry”

“The day was absolutely wonderful !! I am 53 this year and I live in Spain. I flew back especially to play at "The Lane" many people thought I was mad !!

However when I walked into the dressing room and saw my jersey with my name on it, I had realised a dream ! I was putting on my kit where over the years Blanchflower, Greaves,Mackay,Chivers,Hoddle,Gascoigne and many others also put on that shirt, to then go up the tunnel with the music blaring out "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur"not only made all the hairs on my neck stand up but literally put me into Dreamland !! then when I actually set foot on the pitch I was in Dreamland !!
What a day unforgettable !! Brilliantly organised by Footballaid and a very big thanks to Gary Stevens who made the day. Regards Neil Foster”
