Arsenal 2003

9am and 11.15am Kick-off

Highbury was bursting with eager fans and their supporters as two games were played on the hallowed turf!

Both games were played with great enthusiasm, and saw a high level of scoring, 5-4 to the home team and 7-2 to the away team in the second game. The 11.15 game was slightly more high impact, especially for Adam Coffer, whose collision with the goalpost, prevented him from putting the ball in the net!

Arsenal Hero, Kenny Sansom, was there to play in both games, much to the delight of the Arsenal fans, as his aching jaws and over-exposure to camera flashlights might have proved. Bill Greaves took on the role of manager for the teams and managed the turnover of the substitutes extremely well, when exhausted fans had to rest.

Five was the lucky number in the first game as Richard Wiebelenowski, and Guy Frazer, both with number five shirt on the home and away teams were nominated man of the match. Wiebelenowski described the whole day as, “ A dream come true, simply unbelievable!”.

In the second game Paul Seales, was nominated man of the match for the away team, after his amazing hat-trick, and Steve Lawrence, number 7 on the home team also received man of the match.

The games were an immense experience for everyone, players and spectators alike.
