Rangers 2003

29 April 2003 7pm Kick-off

The Rangers heroes turned out in force to grace the hallowed turf of Ibrox Stadium on a surprisingly sunny Glasgow evening! Ally McCoist, Mark Hateley, Richard Gough and Robert Prytz arrived at the changing rooms to be greeted by their open-mouthed, wide-eyed teammates. This silence did not last long, as the cheers from the stands filled the stadium. The score at half-time was 1-2 and the team-talk featured amusing banter between the former players, and saw the captains swap teams. Ally McCoist captained the home team for the second half and Richard Gough pulled on the orange shirt for the away team. Richard, who had flown in from San Diego to take part in the match led the away team to a 1-6 victory in the second half. Allan Gillespie (Goalie) was awarded the Home Team man of the match for his great saves against Goughie, while Steven Sawers, dubbed ‘Hat Trick Hero’ by Mark Hateley was awarded Away team man of the match for his brilliant goal scoring effort. The game was an immense experience for everyone, players and spectators alike.
