EVENT HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Our first International Challenge match at Hampden took place in season 2007 and could have been billed as a 'Battle of Britain', as 'Scotland' took on a predominately English 'Rest of the World' team. A titanic match ensued; sparks flew and when the final whistle blew, those watching had witnessed a great battle with ex-England International Trevor Steven's side finally triumphing 4-1 over Paul Lambert's brave Home team. However the Home side were able to redress the balance in 2008, with Scott Booth captaining his Scotland team to a resounding victory over Trevor Steven's Away team. 

SEASON 2009 UPDATE

Due to organisational changes in our Hampden events we will be hosting one game only this season which will be between a Scotland Home vs Scotland Away team. That means we don't have an International Challenge event scheduled for season 2009.
