CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Gers fans have often been stunned into silence over the years when meeting their Football Aid playing legends and managers at Ibrox. The impressive list includes 'Hall of Famers' Sandy Jardine, Ally McCoist, Richard Gough, Bobby Russell and Mark Hateley, with fellow Ibrox legends including Ally Dawson, Derek McInnes, Gordon Durie, Trevor Steven, Billy Dodds, Alex Rae, Gary McSwegan and Alec Cleland also featuring in recent years. Former Gers skipper Alan McLaren is also a regular fixture at the games and joined Mark Hateley in becoming a Football Aid Ambassador in 2007.

All positions in our 2012 game at Ibrox have now been secured, however there is always the possibility that a position could become available again due to a cancellation. Event Update: We have been told by the Rangers Foundation that the date for this year's game at Ibrox has definitely now been confirmed as Thursday 10th May, with an 11:00am kick-off.
