CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Celtic were the first Club to sign up with Football Aid, and with the Scottish giant's support, other Clubs were quick to follow suit. As such, Football Aid's first season was a resounding success with 47 games played in 45 Clubs around the UK involving over 1200 players, 263 goals and 1 red card! Prominent Diabetes campaigner and Scotland legend Danny McGrain is the Club's Ambassador as well as Football Aid's Vice Patron. And over the years, with the support of Danny we have been able to call on a who's who of Celtic Legends, with the likes of Paul Lambert, Neil Lennon, Tom Boyd, Andy Walker, Darren Jackson, Tosh McKinlay, Joe Miller, Bobby Petta and George McCluskey joining the normally ever present Danny on the pitch at Celtic Park, while the likes of Billie McNeill, Bertie Auld, Bobby Lennox and John Kennedy have relished their roles as Managers.

2013 POST EVENT UPDATE

This year's Football Aid matches at Celtic Park were a huge success, with our fans doing themselves proud in front of their loyal band of enthusiastic supporters. We'd also like to send a massive thank you to Celtic Legends Danny McGrain (G1 & G2), Joe Miller (G1), Paul Byrne (G2) and George McCluskey (G2) for their fantastic support on the day.

2013 MATCH REPORTS

If you're interested in re-living your game there will be a full match report available in our Match Reports section soon. We only get time to write them up and make them live when all our events are finished, so expect to see them being added to the site around the middle of June or early July.

AVAILABILITY FOR FOOTBALL AID 2014

Buy Now & Sponsored to Play positions are likely to be made available for Football Aid 2014 in late August/early September and this year's players will receive advance notification by e-mail when positions are 1st made available. If you didn't play in 2013 and would like to be notified when we launch positions for next season, make sure and Register on the website or Contact Us to tell us about the games you're interested in.
