CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

QPR joined the Football Aid family in 2001 and have hosted highly successful games at Loftus Road ever since, with Club Legends like Clive Wilson, Danny Maddix, Marc Bircham, Rufus Brevett, Steve Gallen, Steve Palmer, Wayne Fereday and the legendary Stan Bowles all showing their support over the years. Club coaches Dave Robinson and Anthony Hennelly also regularly lend their expertise and support to our fans. Season 2006 turned out to be a special treat for our players with the management team of Gary Waddock and Alan McDonald making an appearance. While both teams did themselves justice, perhaps not surprisingly there were no new signings announced for the R's the next day....

All positions in our two games at Loftus Road have now been secured, however there is always the possibility that a position could become available again due to a cancellation. Legends & Managers: We're delighted to announce the Playing Legends for Game 1 at Loftus Road are - Home team: (QPR Club Coach and Football Aid Ambassador) Marc Bircham and Away team: (Club Youth Development Manager) Steve Gallen. In addition Playing Legends for our Game 2 at Loftus Road are as follows: Home team: Paul Furlong and Away team: Wayne Fereday.
