CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

The Football Aid event at Maine Road in 2003 marked an end of an era for City fans - being one of the last few games ever to be played at the historic stadium. The following year, we made our debut at the magnificent City of Manchester Stadium with Mike Summerbee and Gary Owen acting as Managers for the two eager sides. Ex-England International Andy Hinchcliffe came onboard as the Club's Ambassador in January 2006 and fellow City Legends David White, Ian Brightwell and Peter Barnes have all been involved in our games over the years.

2008 EVENT UPDATE

Manchester City have confirmed that due to the UEFA Cup Final taking place at the stadium on the 14th May 2008 their usual post-season plans have had to change this season. Unfortunately that means at this time there is no scheduled Football Aid game for 2008. However, the Club remain fully supportive of Football Aid and are keen to return to our programme of Events in season 2008-09. We are of course still keen to explore every avenue to see if we can continue our successful association with the Club this season.
